Bioengineering Department Research Laboratory

About

Within the scope of our laboratory, the development of biodegradable ceramic and polymeric biomaterials, cell culture and tissue engineering studies, transdermal drug release systems, 3D bioprinting technologies and medical device research is carried out. Stimulus-response and conductive polymers, innovative decellularization protocols, scaffolds for musculoskeletal regeneration, cornea, nerve, cartilage, aorta, muscle, etc. Activities such as the development of smart elastomers for the repair of soft tissues, such as the development of innovative microneedle technologies, and the development of bioinks are carried out. University-Industry cooperation activities are carried out for the development of Class-III Medical Devices for the medical device industry.

Our laboratory is in close contact with the Medical Device Industry and supports the production of innovative products in joint projects in the development of many biomaterials and diagnostic kits that our country needs. Our researchers took part in the development of many products such as bone grafts, cartilage repair materials, soft tissue augmentation materials, biodegradable composite tendon repair materials and composite pins and screws, which are the first examples in our country.

About

Within the scope of our laboratory, the development of biodegradable ceramic and polymeric biomaterials, cell culture and tissue engineering studies, transdermal drug release systems, 3D bioprinting technologies and medical device research is carried out. Stimulus-response and conductive polymers, innovative decellularization protocols, scaffolds for musculoskeletal regeneration, cornea, nerve, cartilage, aorta, muscle, etc. Activities such as the development of smart elastomers for the repair of soft tissues, such as the development of innovative microneedle technologies, and the development of bioinks are carried out. University-Industry cooperation activities are carried out for the development of Class-III Medical Devices for the medical device industry.

Our laboratory is in close contact with the Medical Device Industry and supports the production of innovative products in joint projects in the development of many biomaterials and diagnostic kits that our country needs. Our researchers took part in the development of many products such as bone grafts, cartilage repair materials, soft tissue augmentation materials, biodegradable composite tendon repair materials and composite pins and screws, which are the first examples in our country.
