Stable Isotope Laboratory

About

Stable Isotope Laboratory is a laboratory infrastructure aimed to analyze the stable isotopes of freshwater sources specifically 18O and 2H. Our aim is to conduct research regarding stable isotopes and provide analytical information about various water sources. Fundamentally, we aim to investigate the applications of Hydrogeology through employing members from different scientific disciplines such as Biology, Medicine, Environmental Engineering, Anthropology etc.

Research Infrastructure

• One Los Gatos Brand LT-100 model Stable Isotope Measurement Device
• CTC Analytics running on this Device, Pal System Auto Sampler
• Consumables and sample preparation equipment used in analysis

Researchers

• Dr. Lecturer Türker Kurttaş
• Research. Assist. Cansu Yurteri

Ongoing Projects

Our laboratory is to provide analytical service for studies on the isotope content of natural waters for now.

Completed Projects

The establishment of the laboratory was realized within the scope of TÜBİTAK-ÇAYDAG Project No. 109Y302. The details of the project report are given below.
